Common questions about pricing

Is there really a free plan?
Yes. Free includes a working QR menu, allergen filtering, and one language. You save a card to activate Free — we don't charge it unless you upgrade later.
Why charge for 3D and AI video?
Each 3D model and AI video uses real AI compute. We pass that cost through Mealar Points — every paid plan ships with monthly welcome points, and you can top up with a one-time pack whenever you need more. See the points panel above the FAQ for current per-feature costs and pack prices.
Can I switch plans anytime?
Yes. Upgrade is instant; downgrade applies at the next billing cycle. Annual to monthly switches refund the unused setup fee proportionally.
Do you charge per dish or per restaurant?
Per restaurant. Each plan has a fixed cap on meals (Starter 50, Growth 250, Advanced 400), languages, and menus. Hit the cap and you can archive an old meal or upgrade your plan.
What happens at the end of the trial?
There's no time-limited trial. The Free tier is permanent as long as your usage stays within its limits. Activating Free requires saving a card so we can verify your account — we don't charge it unless you actively upgrade later.
Are prices in my local currency?
Yes. Pick your country in the picker above the plans — prices show in the matching currency. Final billing currency is locked at first checkout.
Do you charge VAT / MVA?
Prices are shown excluding VAT. Norwegian buyers pay 25% MVA at checkout. EU B2B buyers with a valid VAT ID get reverse-charge. Non-EU buyers pay no Norwegian MVA.
Refund policy?
You can request a refund within 30 days of any charge if the product wasn't as described. Submit the request from your billing page — we review within 48 hours. Approved refunds land on your original card in 5–10 business days. After 30 days charges aren't refundable, but you can cancel anytime and the subscription stops at the end of the current period.
